When Jeff Lynne's only solo-album came in the beginning of the 90's,it sort of came
from nowhere, it sounded like nothing else current at the time, was a look backwards
at 50s and 60s music, and was at the same time timeless and futuristic, in that it dind'nt
spind like anything else on the radio.
But this is Jeff Lynne, retro, timeless, and unique.
Awesome production, great guitarsounds, mixed up with strings, piano basses and sometimes
synths and arpeggios.....:P
Only a true genius can pull this off, in my opinion..
After that i started discovering E.L.O's songs, and i heard that these songs were fantastic aswell.
I fell in love instantly.
Great chords, great harmony-singing, beatles-esque-type of songs...
I think that the only cd-record that i have actually ruined due to playing too much,
is Armchair Theatre.:)
Me and some of my friends have actually had dedicated nights where we only
listened to Jeff Lynne, E.L.O, and the "ZOOM"-Dvd.
Not unlike a Star Trek-convention i guess...
